Texas Medical Board 'loopholes'

Fox4 shares how Texas law makers testified at the Senate Monday, March 20th to propose House Bill 1998 in hope that the public will have better access to doctor’s disciplinary records. Additionally, the bill proposes that the Texas Medical Board would be alerted when a doctor has been disciplined by the National Practitioner Data Bank.

Kelsey McKay testified in favor of the bill by sharing her

knowledge of previous and current cases.

"I personally witnessed one doctor in position of power has

been allowed to continue to harm women despite 6 arrests

for crimes including sexual assault and strangulation,"

McKay stated that the Texas Medical Board did not suspend the doctor’s medical license when given the opportunity which, “resulted in unforgivable abuses to other female healthcare workers."
